Arch Street Cultivation

High Ledges Cannabis, a Massachusetts-based cannabis company that operates under the business entity 15 Arch, LLC, holds a Tier 1 license to cultivate in Greenfield, MA. In 2019, CAC was approached by the ownership to collaborate with them on the design and construction instead of dictating the design.

The facility is located in a decommissioned mill building, conveniently located minutes from the Downtown commercial district. Though the building was used most recently for arts education, along with art studios and creation spaces that still exist in other areas of the building, the High Ledges tenant space had been exposed to the elements during its vacancy. SThe building’s envelope, utility needs, and a steeply sloping site were challenges that required our team to work with BLW Engineers during the design process. In the end, the team was able to design a small, yet efficient cultivation operation that maximized the space available while avoiding the major pitfalls of over-designing for the needs of the client. Construction was completed on-site in early 2023 and their first harvest is expected soon!
